The Power of Therapy

Sometimes, people arrive at therapy feeling "stuck" and are not sure what the next step is. Our goal is to work together to reveal your strengths, overcome any challenges you may be facing, gain valuable self-insight, reduce anxiety and depression, and learn how to increase meaning and purpose in life.

I know that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision. It is normal to feel hesitant or uncertain about asking for help. But I also know that therapy has the power to transform lives. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices (practices that have been researched and proven to be effective), and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.

What you can expect in therapy: A warm and welcoming space, compassion for your situation, collaboration in achieving goals you set, and my continued practice of providing clinical excellence through ongoing skills training.

My practice offers a range of evidence-based therapies to support clients in achieving their goals. Therapy can look different depending on your needs and what skillset (toolbox) the therapist uses. I incorporate IFS, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness modalities within a trauma-informed lens.

I am committed to continued education as a mental health professional. I attend multiple yearly trainings and engage in a self-care practice that includes mentorship, mindfulness, and movement, along with purposefully cultivating community relationships in the Kawartha Lakes Region to serve my clients.
